A generous donor has offered an $8,000 challenge grant — and if our community raises $8,000 by December 31st, we unlock the full match. That means your gift will be doubled, whether you sponsor a fruit tree for our community food forest or make a donation to support BOLT where it’s needed most.

This challenge comes at a crucial time. With shifting funding landscapes and prolonged federal delays, we can no longer rely on grants alone — it is time to build our mycelial web of community support. This holiday season, give a gift that grows!


When you sponsor a tree at BOLT’s Food Forest, you’re planting nourishment, shelter, and knowledge for generations to come. Each tree strengthens food security, teaches ecological stewardship, and restores health to the land — while creating a living classroom for our youth and families.

Your gift doesn’t end at donation. Sponsors are invited to join us for Community Volunteer Days this spring, where we’ll plant trees together and celebrate the roots we’re growing as a community.

The impact of ONE tree:

Each sponsored tree:

  •  Feeds: up to 25 families each year through our community food boxes and harvest programs

  •  Produces: up to 150–300 lbs of fruit annually once mature

  •  Educates: over 50 youth and adults per season through Nature School and workshops on ecology, pollination, and food systems

  •  Heals the Earth: improves soil health, increases carbon sequestration, and provides pollinator habitat

  •  Supports Animals: offers shade and seasonal forage for our goats and grazing livestock

  •  Builds Legacy: contributes to the long-term growth of our regenerative food forest and educational farm

*$1000 - Sponsor An Orchard - Supports 6–8 trees, includes recognition on our site and invitation to a special planting day.

*$500 - Sponsor A Grove - Four Trees — supports cross-pollination and expanded canopy cover, includes a tea meet & greet with our Community Coordinator

*$300 - Sponsor Two Trees - Two trees — supports cross-pollination and expanded canopy cover.

*$150 - Sponsor A Tree - Covers full cost of planting, soil amendments, irrigation, and maintenance.
